Ingredients

  • 1 pound of hot peppers, such as red and green jalapeños or serranos, stems and seeds removed, finely chopped
  • ½ pound yellow onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons yellow mustard seeds

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Lower the heat and simmer for 25-30 minutes, or until the liquid reduces and is absorbed into the mixture.
  4. Transfer to a jar and let cool to room temperature.
