- ½ teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium-low heat and add the butter.
- When the butter begins to melt, add the flour and whisk together to form a smooth roux.
- Cook the roux until it turns golden and starts to smell toasted.
- Slowly pour in the milk, whisking to combine until the mixture thickens and no clumps remain.
- Add the chicken base, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the thickened mixture.
- Allow to simmer for 3-5 minutes, stirring regularly to prevent sticking.
- Once the gravy reaches the desired thickness, turn off the heat and serve warm.
