- 5 to 6 cups halved strawberries, hull them first
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon almond extract
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup old-fashioned oats
- ½ cup packed light brown sugar
- â…“ cup granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 10 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons sliced almonds
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and spray a 9-inch square baking dish or deep pie pan with cooking spray.
- In a medium bowl, combine the strawberries, sugar, vanilla extract, almond extract, and cornstarch. Transfer this mixture to the prepared baking dish.
- In another medium bowl, mix together the flour, oats, brown sugar, granulated sugar, salt, cinnamon, and melted butter. Drop spoonfuls of this mixture over the strawberry filling.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes. In the last 10 minutes of baking, sprinkle sliced almonds on top.
- Serve warm with ice cream.
