Ingredients

  • 5 to 6 cups halved strawberries, hull them first
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon almond extract
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup old-fashioned oats
  • ½ cup packed light brown sugar
  • â…“ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 10 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons sliced almonds

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and spray a 9-inch square baking dish or deep pie pan with cooking spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the strawberries, sugar, vanilla extract, almond extract, and cornstarch. Transfer this mixture to the prepared baking dish.
  3. In another medium bowl, mix together the flour, oats, brown sugar, granulated sugar, salt, cinnamon, and melted butter. Drop spoonfuls of this mixture over the strawberry filling.
  4. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes. In the last 10 minutes of baking, sprinkle sliced almonds on top.
  5. Serve warm with ice cream.
