- ½ cup salted butter
- 3 cups strawberries tops removed, some halved and some quartered
- ½ cup granulated sugar plus 1 tbsp., divided
- 1 cup flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 cup milk
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350℉.
- Add the butter to a 9×13 inch baking dish and place it in the oven to melt.
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the strawberries with ½ cup of sugar, stirring gently to coat. Set aside.
- In another mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Then add the milk, vanilla, and 1 tbsp sugar, whisking until a smooth batter forms.
- Once the butter is melted, remove the baking dish from the oven and carefully spread the strawberry mixture evenly over the melted butter.
- Pour the cobbler batter evenly over the strawberries. Do not stir.
- Return the baking dish to the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or Cool Whip on top.
