- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon rice wine
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon roasted sesame oil
- 1 pound spinach linguine
- 4 tablespoons olive oil divided
- 1 teaspoon miso paste
- 1/4 cup soy-ginger sauce
- 2 tablespoons mirin
- 1 tablespoon roasted sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon sriracha
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 5 garlic cloves minced
- 1/4 cup finely chopped shallots
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh chives
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- Chili flakes for garnish, optional
Instructions
- In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, dissolve the cornstarch in 2 tablespoons of water. Add the remaining water, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, sugar, rice wine, vinegar, and sesame oil to the pan.
- Whisk the mixture until the sugar and cornstarch are completely dissolved.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring frequently for 3 to 4 minutes until the sauce thickens and is shiny and translucent.
