This marinated grilled chicken breasts recipe showcases tender chicken infused with a delightful mix of olive oil, soy sauce, honey, and spices. Perfect for quick dinners or healthy meals, it’s simple to prep and packed with flavor.

  • Total Time: 2 hours 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • ¼ cup (60ml) olive oil (canola oil also works)
  • ¼ cup (60ml) soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons (10g) minced garlic
  • 3 tablespoons (45g) worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon (15g) freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • ¼ cup (80g) honey
  • 1–2 tablespoons (15-30g) dijon mustard
  • ½–1 teaspoon (1g) cayenne pepper
  • 1–2 teaspoons (4-8g) creole seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon (3g) ground white pepper (or black pepper)
  • 2 tablespoons (8g) chopped parsley
  • 1–2 green onions, diced
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the olive oil, soy sauce, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, honey, Dijon mustard, cayenne, Creole seasoning, white pepper, parsley, and green onions.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a non-reactive bowl or a freezer zip-lock bag and pour the marinade over them. Stir to ensure the breasts are evenly coated, then seal and refrigerate for about 2 hours or overnight.
  3. Remove the chicken from the marinade, discarding any excess, or simmer the leftover marinade for 5 minutes before serving it on the side.
  4. Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Grill the chicken on both sides for 4-5 minutes until charred. Flip occasionally to ensure even cooking, but avoid overcooking to prevent dryness.
  6. Once cooked, remove from the grill or pan, let it rest for 5 minutes, and serve.

For maximum flavor, marinate the chicken overnight.
If using frozen chicken, ensure it’s fully thawed before marinating for even seasoning.
