  • Total Time: 1 hour 5 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups chicken broth
  • ½ chicken bouillon cube
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • ½ teaspoon each: dried oregano, basil, onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 lb. large uncooked shrimp
  • Salt/pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ cup dry white wine
  • 8 oz. spaghetti
  • 45 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • ⅔ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, to garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine the sauce ingredients in a large measuring cup with a spout; set aside. Measure out remaining ingredients.
  2. Thaw the shrimp if frozen and pat dry. Remove shells and veins as needed. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook for 1 minute 20 seconds on one side and 45-60 seconds on the other. Transfer to a clean plate.
  4. Boil salted water for pasta; cook according to package instructions and drain, reserving ½ cup of pasta water.
  5. Add wine to the skillet used for shrimp and reduce by half, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Melt butter, add garlic, and cook for 1 minute. Stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until raw smell is gone.
  7. Gradually add the combined sauce mixture, stirring continuously until it thickens while pasta cooks.
  8. Reduce heat, cool sauce slightly, then stir in lemon juice and zest. Add parmesan gradually, stirring until combined.
  9. Toss in the drained pasta, adding reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
  10. Add shrimp back, toss to combine, garnish with parsley, and serve.
