  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 mini croissants, split
  • 12 slices deli ham
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon whole-grain mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey or agave nectar
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh chives
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 11/2 cups shredded gruyere cheese
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon poppyseeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and adjust the oven rack to the middle position.
  2. Grease a 9×13 baking dish lightly, then arrange the bottom halves of the croissants in it, placing slices of ham on top.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the dijon mustard, whole-grain mustard, honey, mayonnaise, and minced chives. Season the mixture with salt and pepper, then spread it over the ham slices.
  4. Sprinkle shredded gruyere cheese on top, then cover with the top halves of the croissants.
  5. In another bowl, mix melted butter, poppyseeds, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Brush this mixture over the croissants and cover the pan with foil.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes, then remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the sliders are golden brown and the cheese is melted. Serve warm.
