- 12 mini croissants, split
- 12 slices deli ham
- 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon whole-grain mustard
- 1 tablespoon honey or agave nectar
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh chives
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1–1/2 cups shredded gruyere cheese
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon poppyseeds
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and adjust the oven rack to the middle position.
- Grease a 9×13 baking dish lightly, then arrange the bottom halves of the croissants in it, placing slices of ham on top.
- In a small bowl, combine the dijon mustard, whole-grain mustard, honey, mayonnaise, and minced chives. Season the mixture with salt and pepper, then spread it over the ham slices.
- Sprinkle shredded gruyere cheese on top, then cover with the top halves of the croissants.
- In another bowl, mix melted butter, poppyseeds, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Brush this mixture over the croissants and cover the pan with foil.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the sliders are golden brown and the cheese is melted. Serve warm.
