  • 2 large eggs

  • 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl or stand mixer, cream together the softened butter and cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Gradually add powdered sugar and mix until combined.
  3. Beat in the vanilla extract, adding the eggs one at a time and mixing well after each.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, salt, baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon.
  5. Slowly incorporate the dry ingredients into the cream cheese mixture until a dough forms.
  6. Cover the bowl tightly and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or form dough into balls and chill.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. In a small bowl, combine granulated sugar and 1 1/2 tablespoons ground cinnamon.
  9. Scoop dough into balls using about 2 heaping teaspoons per cookie and roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  10. Place on ungreased baking sheets and bake for 10–12 minutes until set.
  11. Cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
