Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (15 oz) can butter beans
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp vegan parmesan
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp curry powder

Instructions

  1. Drain and rinse the butter beans, then pat them dry with a paper towel until completely dry.
  2. In a bowl, combine the beans with olive oil, vegan parmesan, and spices until evenly coated.
  3. For extra crispiness, toss the beans with a little cornstarch or arrowroot flour.
  4. If using an air fryer, spread the beans in a single layer in the basket and gently smash them with your thumb.

  6. Enjoy the beans immediately or allow them to cool completely before serving.
  7. For the oven method, preheat to 380°F (190°C).
  8. Spread the beans on a baking tray in a single layer and gently smash them with your thumb.
