- 1 pound ground beef
- salt and black pepper, to taste
- 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
- 8 slices bacon, cooked crispy
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup homemade basil pesto
- 4 ciabatta rolls
- butter or olive oil, for toasting
Instructions
- Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and gently form into burger patties.
- Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and grill the burgers to your desired doneness.
- During the last 1–2 minutes of cooking, top each burger with a slice of sharp cheddar and close the grill to melt the cheese.
- Brush the cut sides of the ciabatta rolls with butter or olive oil and toast on the grill until lightly golden.
- Fry the eggs in a skillet until the whites are set and the yolks are cooked per your preference.
- Spread basil pesto on the bottom half of each toasted ciabatta roll.
- Add the cheddar-topped burger, 2 slices of crispy bacon, and a fried egg on top.
- Spoon additional basil pesto over the egg, if desired. Add the top ciabatta roll and serve immediately.
