Ingredients
Scale
- 4 slices white bread thick-cut
- 2 large eggs
- 1/3 cup heavy cream or half & half
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F.
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
- Cut each slice of sandwich bread into 3 or 4 sticks. Alternatively, keep the slices whole for traditional French toast.
- Spray the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray. Dip 6-8 bread sticks in the egg mixture, turning them over, and lay them in a single layer in the basket. (You can also soak two whole slices.)
- Close the air fryer and cook for 5 minutes. Once done, flip the French toast sticks carefully and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes until golden brown. Repeat with the remaining bread sticks.
- Serve warm.
