  • 1 1/2 teaspoons granulated sugar

Instructions

  • Thaw the frozen pie crusts for 10 minutes and place in a pie pan.
  • Whisk 3 eggs in one bowl, and separate the remaining 3 eggs.
  • Combine ricotta, sour cream, whisked eggs, vanilla, and orange liquor in a bowl.
  • Incorporate ground cinnamon, orange zest, and granulated sugar into the ricotta mixture.
  • Pour filling into the prepared pie crust and cover with foil.
  • Bake at 325°F for 1 hour.
  • Prepare egg wash with cream and almond extract while the pie bakes.
  • Cut and prepare pie crust strips, brush with egg wash, and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
  • Create a lattice top over the pie filling.
  • Increase oven temperature to 350°F and bake for an additional 20 minutes.
