- 6 cups brioche bread or buns, cubed and air-dried the night before
- 1 lb ground breakfast sausage
- 1 cup onion, finely diced
- 10 eggs, beaten
- 3 cups half & half
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 tsp dry mustard
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cube brioche bread and let air-dry overnight.
- Cook sausage and onion in a skillet until crispy.
- Layer brioche, cheese, sausage, and onion in a baking dish.
- Mix eggs, half & half, mustard, onion powder, salt, and pepper; pour over casserole.
- Refrigerate overnight, then bake at 325°F for 1 hour.
