  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil

  • 1 pound ground pork or ground chicken or turkey
  • 4 green onions finely chopped
  • 1½ tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1½ tablespoons grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • dumpling sauce chili crisp or sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together pork, green onion, soy sauce, ginger, sesame oil, garlic, cornstarch, and black pepper thoroughly for the filling.
  2. Lay one dumpling wrapper over a mound of filling, gently squeezing it around the filling, leaving the bottom unwrapped.
  3. Preheat a large nonstick pan over medium-high heat with vegetable oil, then add the dumplings.
  4. Pour water into the pan around the dumplings, cover, and steam for 6 to 8 minutes until the pork reaches a safe temperature of 145℉.
  5. Remove the lid and continue cooking until the water evaporates and the dumpling bottoms are lightly crisp.
  6. Garnish with extra green onions and serve hot with your preferred dumpling sauce.
