- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes for some heat
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Optional: olives or peppercorns for eyes
- 1 jar marinara sauce or spaghetti sauce for dipping
Instructions
- Combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, garlic, egg, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Roll mixture into small balls (1 inch in diameter).
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake meatballs on a lined sheet for 20 minutes.
- Unroll crescent dough and cut into long strips.
- Wrap dough strips around each meatball, leaving space at the top for eyes.
- Brush wrapped meatballs with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Add olives or peppercorns for eyes.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until dough is golden brown.
- Cool briefly and serve with marinara sauce.
