  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley (fresh or dried)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes for some heat
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Optional: olives or peppercorns for eyes
  • 1 jar marinara sauce or spaghetti sauce for dipping

Instructions

  • Combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, garlic, egg, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  • Roll mixture into small balls (1 inch in diameter).
  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake meatballs on a lined sheet for 20 minutes.
  • Unroll crescent dough and cut into long strips.
  • Wrap dough strips around each meatball, leaving space at the top for eyes.
  • Brush wrapped meatballs with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  • Add olives or peppercorns for eyes.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until dough is golden brown.
  • Cool briefly and serve with marinara sauce.
