- 2 pounds jumbo lump blue crab meat
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire
- 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
- 2 teaspoons old bay seasoning , plus more for garnish
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1 large egg lightly beaten
Instructions
- Dab the crab meat with paper towels to remove excess moisture without breaking apart the lumps.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, Old Bay seasoning, and lemon juice.
- Gently mix in the crab meat, panko bread crumbs, and lightly beaten egg until just moist, adding more panko if needed to bind.
- Form the mixture into 8 jumbo crab cakes or 16 crab balls and chill for 20-30 minutes.
- Preheat broiler to high and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, lightly greased.
- Place crab cakes on the baking sheet, broil for 7-8 minutes until lightly brown on top.
- Carefully transfer to serving plates, garnish with minced parsley and Old Bay seasoning, and serve with dipping sauces.
