  • 4 oz (113 g) cream cheese, cold
  • 2 cups (260 g) powdered sugar
  • Red food coloring (for decorative pink icing)
  • Valentine's Day sprinkles (for decorating)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare cake pans.
  • Whisk together dry ingredients in a bowl.
  • Cream softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs and vanilla, mixing until smooth.
  • Alternate adding dry ingredients and buttermilk, mix until combined.
