- 3 Tbsp all-purpose flour

- Salt, to taste
- Fresh cracked black pepper, to taste
- 1 bay leaf
- 3 1/2 cups chicken stock
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 4 oz sharp white cheddar cheese, grated
Instructions
- Heat oil in a Dutch oven over medium heat.
- Sauté diced onion until transparent and slightly golden.
- Add diced ham and cook until warmed through.
- Stir in pressed garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Incorporate cauliflower florets, mixing well.
- Sprinkle flour and coat the mixture.
- Gradually pour in chicken stock, adding bay leaf, sage, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer at medium-low for 20-25 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and grated cheddar until combined.
