- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well, then stir in vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, sift flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients until combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips, peppermint extract, and crushed peppermint candies.
- Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until set around edges but soft in the middle.
- Cool on sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
