  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Prepare the muffin tin with liners or non-stick spray.
  • Mix the wet ingredients: bananas, sugar, cocoa powder, oil or butter, buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla.
  • Combine dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  • Add dry mixture to wet ingredients, stir gently.
  • Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Pour batter into muffin tin, filling 2/3 full.
  • Bake for 18 to 20 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
