- 4 bell peppers any color
- 1 large onion
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
- ¼ teaspoon salt more to taste
- 24 ounces marinara sauce
- 19 ounces italian sausage links, hot or mild
Instructions
- Slice the bell peppers and onions, then place them in the bottom of a 6-quart slow cooker.
- Add olive oil, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and salt; toss to combine well.
- Pour marinara sauce over the mixture in the slow cooker.
- Optionally, brown the sausages in a skillet over medium heat for 2 minutes per side.
- Place the sausages on top of the vegetables in the slow cooker, then cover and cook on LOW for 3 to 4 hours or on HIGH for 2 to 3 hours until sausages are cooked through and vegetables are tender.
