  • 1/2 cup frozen peas
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 6 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 3/41 cup buttermilk

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking pan.
  • Melt butter and sauté onions, carrots, celery, and garlic until tender.
  • Stir in flour, salt, and pepper, then add Worcestershire sauce, thyme, nutmeg, chicken broth, and heavy cream until thickened.
  • Add shredded chicken and peas, then pour into baking pan and heat for 10 minutes.
  • Combine dry ingredients for biscuits, cut in butter, add cheese and buttermilk to form dough.
  • Spoon biscuit dough over heated chicken filling and bake for 15 minutes until biscuits are golden brown.
