- 4.5 oz. semi-sweet chocolate, broken into pieces
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup pitted and halved fresh cherries, divided
- 1 cup chocolate chips, divided
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 320°F (160°C).
- Line a 9-inch square baking tin with parchment paper.
- Melt butter and chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl until smooth.
- Combine sugar, eggs, and vanilla with the melted chocolate mixture.
- Sift and fold in flour, cocoa powder, and salt until just combined.
- Fold in cherries and chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into the prepared tin, topping with remaining cherries and chips.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until edges are firm and center is slightly set.
- Cool in the tin, then lift out and slice.
